Mechanism of Action
- Prednisolone - a synthetic glucocorticoid (corticosteroid). It suppresses inflammation by inhibiting phospholipase A2, reducing prostaglandin and leukotriene synthesis. Also has immunosuppressive effects.
- Chlorpheniramine Maleate - a first-generation H1-antihistamine. Blocks histamine receptors, counteracting allergic and hypersensitivity reactions.
Together, this combination targets both the inflammatory and allergic/histamine-mediated components of disease.
