RA usually means room air: the patient is breathing normal ambient air and is not receiving supplemental oxygen.
Example: “SpO₂ 96% on RA” means oxygen saturation is 96% while breathing room air.
Depending on context, RA can also mean rheumatoid arthritis, but in vital signs, respiratory notes, or oxygen documentation it almost always means room air.
