FDA home use pregnancy test read result control line two lines instructions

This appears to be a urine pregnancy test (hCG test).
  • There is a clear control line (C), so the test appears valid.
  • I can also see a very faint second line at the test area (T), circled in green.
If that faint line appeared within the time stated in the kit instructions, it is usually interpreted as a positive pregnancy test, meaning hCG was detected. A faint line can occur in very early pregnancy. Home tests detect hCG but do not show whether a pregnancy is developing normally or where it is located, as explained by the FDA pregnancy-test guidance.
What to do: repeat the test with first-morning urine in 48 hours, or get a blood beta-hCG test from a clinic for confirmation. If the line appeared only after the reading time, it could be an evaporation line and is not reliable.
Seek urgent medical care if there is severe lower abdominal pain, shoulder-tip pain, fainting, or heavy bleeding.
