Usual dose: 1 tablet once daily, preferably after food, swallowed with water. “OD” means once daily. Take it exactly for the duration your clinician prescribed. Do not take extra doses to treat sudden numbness or weakness.

Possible side effects: usually mild, but may include nausea, stomach upset, diarrhea, headache, itching, or rash. Seek urgent care for facial swelling, wheeze, widespread rash, or severe allergy.

Important: If numbness is new, worsening, one-sided, associated with weakness, walking difficulty, bladder/bowel symptoms, or if you have severe anemia symptoms, get medical assessment rather than relying on the tablet alone. A B12 blood test and finding the cause of deficiency may be needed.
