From this question, please select the question from upper limb only.

From the exam paper, the question related to the upper limb is:

Question 1 (Section "B"):
Mention the formation and structures passing through the carpal tunnel. Write about the carpal tunnel syndrome. [3+3=6]

Why this is an upper limb question: The carpal tunnel is located at the wrist (the anterior aspect of the wrist joint), formed by the flexor retinaculum and the carpal bones. It transmits the median nerve and flexor tendons - all structures of the upper limb. Carpal tunnel syndrome is the most common peripheral nerve compression syndrome, involving compression of the median nerve at the wrist.
All other questions belong to different regions:
  • Q2 - General anatomy (synovial joints)
  • Q3 - Histology (thymus)
  • Q4 - Histology/Embryology/Lower limb (sympathetic ganglion, mesoderm, Great Saphenous vein)
  • Q5 - Head & Neck (temporomandibular joint)
  • Q6 - Thorax (right ventricle)
  • Q7 - Thorax (intercostal space)
  • Q8 - Thorax/Head & Neck (pericardium, nasal septum, palate)

Can you please identify the upper limb question only? Don't mention other questions, just upper limb and lower limb only.

From the Kathmandu University, July/August 2019 paper, here are the upper limb and lower limb questions only:

Upper Limb

Q4b (Section "B" - Short note):
Carpal tunnel syndrome [3 marks] (Already marked as [U.L] on the paper itself)

Lower Limb

Q4c (Section "B" - Short note):
Movements of knee joint [3 marks]

These are the only two questions in this paper that belong to the upper limb and lower limb regions respectively. Both appear under Question 4's short notes in Section "B."
