This is self-limited epilepsy with centrotemporal spikes (formerly benign rolandic epilepsy): nocturnal focal seizures with unilateral facial/hand movements, drooling, and normal examination. It usually remits by adolescence, so infrequent seizures can be observed; antiseizure medication may be considered if seizures are frequent or disruptive.
