These are pre-packed, colour-coded NACO kits for syndromic management of STIs/RTIs, meaning treatment is selected from symptoms and signs rather than waiting for laboratory confirmation. Park describes this approach as management based on the clinical syndrome without dependence on laboratory investigations. Park's Textbook of Preventive and Social Medicine, p. 376.
NACO continues to provide syndromic colour-coded kits through designated STI/RTI or Suraksha clinics, alongside counselling, condoms, HIV/syphilis screening, partner management, and referral of complicated cases, as stated on the NACO STI/RTI services page. The table above reflects the NACO kit list in its STI/RTI programme document.
