BNS/BNSS Story Mnemonics - Tamil & English

PART 1 - ENGLISH STORY MNEMONIC

Story: "The Drunk Kid in Court"

One day, Raju (age 7, BNS 20) and his brother Vijay (age 10, BNS 21) went to a party. Their mad uncle (22 - mentally ill, not liable) was forced to drink (23 - involuntary drunk, not liable). But Raju's dad got voluntarily drunk (24 ✅ LIABLE - remember: he CHOSE to drink, so he's GUILTY).

Story: "The Doctor's Consent Dilemma"

A doctor wanted to give consent (BNS 26 - good faith, not offence). The guardian said "my child is only 12, insane, intoxicated" (27 - guardian consent). But the consent was invalid because the child feared injury (28 - invalid consent). In an emergency, the doctor operated without consent (30 ✅ - still NOT offence). The doctor also made a communication in good faith (31 - not offence).

Story: "The Rape Gang Identity Case"

Section 63 defines rape. The gang attacked with 70 people - that's Gang Rape (70 ✅ - gang rape punishment). The reporter revealed the victim's identity (72 ✅ - disclosure of victim = PUNISHED). In court, BNSS 184 ✅ was used to examine the rape victim (remember: 184 = victim exam, 82 = accused exam).

Story: "Modesty, Harassment, Voyeur, Stalker"

A man with 74 intentions tried to outrage her modesty (74 ✅ - indecent assault). He then did 75 acts of sexual harassment - showing pornography, physical contact (75 ✅). He then watched through a keyhole (76 - voyeurism). He started 77-stalking her (77 - stalking). He then 78 - insulted her modesty. She 79-died of dowry death. Her husband and relatives are under 80/85 - cruelty.

Story: "Miscarriage Trio - 88, 89, 90"

88 = criminal abortion WITH consent of woman 89 = WITHOUT consent of woman 90 = RESULTING in death of woman

Story: "Homicide Ladder - 100, 101, 102, 103, 106, 108"

100 = defines culpable homicide 101 = culpable homicide - amounting to murder (provocation, self-defence, public servant, without premeditation) 102(1) = MURDER 103(2) = MOB KILLING (≥5 people) 106 = Death due to MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE (2 yrs imprisonment + fine) ✅ 108 = Abetment of suicide

Story: "Hurt Sections - 114, 115, 116"

114 = defines HURT (bodily pain, disease, infirmity) 115 = voluntarily causing hurt = PUNISHMENT ✅ 116 = GRIEVOUS HURT - 8 clauses ✅ (marked in red circle)

Police received 33 - intimation. Accused examined under 82 BNSS. Victim examined under 184 BNSS ✅. Summons under 83-71 BNSS. Death sentence commuted for pregnant female under 456 BNSS → Life imprisonment. Police inquest = 194 BNSS. Magistrate inquest = 196 BNSS.

PART 2 - TAMIL STORY MNEMONIC (விரிவான கதை)

கதை 1: "குடிகார ராஜுவின் நீதிமன்ற வழக்கு"

ராஜுவுக்கு 7 வயதுக்கும் குறைவு (BNS 20) - அவன் குற்றவாளி இல்லை. அவன் அண்ணன் விஜய்க்கு 10 வயது (BNS 21 ✅) - நீதிமன்றம் முதிர்ச்சியை வைத்து தீர்மானிக்கும். அவர்கள் பைத்தியம் பிடித்த மாமா (BNS 22 - unsound mind - குற்றவாளி இல்லை). மாமாவை யாரோ கட்டாயமாக குடிக்க வைத்தனர் (BNS 23 - involuntary drunk - குற்றவாளி இல்லை). ஆனால் அப்பா தானாக குடித்தார் (BNS 24 ✅ - voluntary drunk - குற்றவாளி!)

கதை 2: "Doctor அவசரநிலை - Consent சேன்"

Doctor நன்மைக்காக செய்தால் 26 - குற்றமில்லை. Guardian இடம் கேட்டால் 27 - 12 வயதுக்கு கீழ் / பைத்தியம் / குடிகாரன். Invalid consent = 28 - பயம் / தவறான புரிதல். அவசர நிலையில் consent இல்லாமல் 30 ✅ - குற்றமில்லை. Good faith communication 31 - குற்றமில்லை.

கதை 3: "Gang + Identity = 70 + 72"

70 பேர் கும்பலாக தாக்கினால் = Gang Rape = BNS 70 ✅ 72 தலைப்பில் பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர் identity வெளியிட்டால் = தண்டனை = BNS 72 ✅ BNSS 184 ✅ = பாதிக்கப்பட்டவரை பரிசோதனை (BNSS 82 = குற்றவாளி பரிசோதனை)
