Bronchopulmonary Segments of the Right Lung
The right lung has 3 lobes and 10 bronchopulmonary segments. Each segment is an independent unit supplied by its own segmental (tertiary) bronchus and a branch of the pulmonary artery, with pulmonary veins running intersegmentally. Each is cone-shaped with its apex toward the hilum and base on the lung surface.
1. Upper (Superior) Lobe - 3 segments

Note: In more than half of individuals, a subapical (subsuperior) segment is present in the lower lobe, with a posteriorly directed bronchus arising anywhere along the inferior lobar bronchus between S VI and the final basal division. This is sometimes counted as an accessory 11th segment.
