OPERATIVE PROCEDURE
- Patient positioned supine on the OT table. Parts painted and draped under all aseptic precautions.
- Tourniquet inflated to ___ mmHg.
- Standard midline anterior incision made over the right knee. Medial parapatellar arthrotomy performed.
- Knee joint entered. Osteophytes excised. Cruciate ligaments excised as per surgical plan.
- Distal femoral, proximal tibial, and patellar cuts made using appropriate jigs with standard alignment guides.
- Trial components inserted - satisfactory sizing and alignment confirmed.
- Cement prepared and applied. Final implants seated in appropriate position.
- Cement cured. Tourniquet released. Haemostasis achieved.
- Wound irrigated copiously with normal saline. Drain inserted.
- Wound closed in layers - retinaculum, subcutaneous tissue, and skin.
- Sterile dressing applied.
