🔍 Pehle Cause Pata Karo — Viral ya Bacterial?

Pharyngitis ke zyada cases viral hote hain (common cold viruses). Sirf 5–30% bacterial hote hain, jisme sabse common Group A Streptococcus (GAS/Strep throat) hai.

🦠 1. Viral Pharyngitis ka Treatment (Most Common)

Antibiotics mat do! Viral pharyngitis me antibiotics se koi faida nahi, balki nuksan hota hai.

Paracetamol (Acetaminophen)	500–1000 mg, har 6 ghante	Dard aur bukhaar
Ibuprofen / NSAIDs	400–600 mg, har 8 ghante (khane ke saath)	Dard, sujan
Dexamethasone (severe case me)	0.6 mg/kg (max 10 mg), ek baar	Severe dard ya nigalne me takleef

Tip: Dard ki dawayein din me regular leni chahiye (as-needed ke bajaye) — yeh zyada effective hoti hain.

Ghar pe Rahat ke Liye:

Gargle with warm salt water
Gargle with warm water + Betadine (povidone-iodine)
Cold/soothing liquids, ice chips
Rest aur pani pite raho (hydration)

🧫 2. Bacterial (GAS/Strep) Pharyngitis ka Treatment

Centor Score ke hisaab se test karo (RADT ya throat culture). Agar positive ho toh antibiotic do:

Nigalne me bahut zyada takleef (dysphagia)
Awaz baith gayi / hoarseness
Gardan me dard ya sujaan
Muh nahi khul raha (trismus)
Bukhaar bahut tez aur breathing mushkil

Yeh signs Peritonsillar Abscess, Retropharyngeal Abscess, ya Epiglottitis ke ho sakte hain — Emergency treatment chahiye.
