1. Sinarest Tablet (Original)

Composition: Paracetamol 500 mg + Phenylephrine HCl 10 mg + Chlorpheniramine Maleate 2 mg + Caffeine 30 mg

Key Points

  • Maximum daily paracetamol dose: Do not exceed 4 g (4000 mg) per day from all sources
  • Duration: Should not be used beyond 3-5 days without medical advice

  • Missed dose: Take as soon as remembered, but skip if the next dose is near - never double up

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to any ingredient
  • Severe hypertension or cardiovascular disease
  • Angle-closure glaucoma
  • Patients on MAO inhibitors
  • End-stage renal impairment (for LP variant)

Common Side Effects

  • Drowsiness (especially with Chlorpheniramine variant)
  • Dry mouth, dizziness, nausea
  • Palpitations, tachycardia (due to Phenylephrine)
Note: The Chlorpheniramine-containing variants (Original/New) cause more sedation. The LP variant with Levocetirizine is less sedating. Always take as directed by your doctor.
