Patient developed a localized red and swollen area on leg after a blunt injury/trauma. There was no cut, wound, or skin breach at the time of injury. The redness and swelling started after the trauma and have persisted. Initialy cold compression done for few days. After 2 weeks The affected area feels warmer than the surrounding skin. There is no pain or tenderness, no significant induration, and do not have fever, chills, or other systemic symptoms. Patient is able to walk and run normally without pain. There is no discharge, pus, ulceration, or open wound. He initially used paracetamol for comfort. Subsequently, i took Augmentin (amoxicillin-clavulanate) for 5 days, but the redness/swelling has not completely resolved. Patient has still little edema under redness. What is provisional diagnosis and next steps of management and is it okay to give patient paracetamol and aceclofenac and serrattiopeptidase? 1 photo here is of normal lesion today after 2 weeks of injury and 1 is after pressing for 30 seconds for looking for edema.
