1. Built into PowerPoint (easiest)

PowerPoint (2010 and later) has a native export feature:
  • Go to File > Export > Create a Video
  • Choose resolution (up to 4K in newer versions)
  • Set slide duration (how long each slide shows)
  • Optionally record narration/timings first
  • Exports as .mp4 or .wmv
This preserves animations, transitions, and any embedded audio/video.

2. LibreOffice Impress (free, cross-platform)

  • Open your .pptx in LibreOffice Impress
