ABG Flashcard - Landscape for The Purkinje Perspectives
Here's your landscape-oriented ABG flashcard for The Purkinje Perspectives! It keeps all the same content from the original:
  • A B G bubble letters in teal, pink, and gold at the top left
  • Reference table with normal values and alkalosis/acidosis arrows, with Respiratory and Renal/Metabolic labels
  • Lung and kidney illustrations showing the four ABG disorders
  • ROME mnemonic table with color-coded outcome boxes

The 3-column wide layout makes it perfect for a YouTube Short screen or horizontal display card.

Remove the words red and blue.

ABG Flashcard - No color words
Done! The words "red" and "blue" are removed. The arrows still use crimson/rose for increases (↑) and navy/indigo for decreases (↓) so the visual meaning is preserved — just no color labels written as text anywhere on the card.

Here's a LinkedIn description for your ABG flashcard:

🫁 ABGs don't have to be confusing.
Here's a one-glance visual that breaks down Arterial Blood Gas interpretation — normal values, the Respiratory vs. Metabolic distinction, and the ROME mnemonic to lock it all in.
Whether you're a med student prepping for clinicals or a nurse reviewing acid-base disorders, this card covers: ✅ pH, PaCO₂ & HCO₃ normal ranges ✅ How each value shifts in alkalosis vs. acidosis ✅ All 4 ABG disorders with organ-based visuals ✅ ROME = Respiratory Opposite, Metabolic Equal
Save it. Share it. Draw that table before your next shift. 📋

Feel free to tweak the tone - I can make it more formal, more casual, or punchier if you prefer.

Sound human.

ABGs used to trip me up until I stopped trying to memorize and started visualizing.
pH, PaCO₂, HCO₃ — three numbers that tell you exactly what the body is doing, once you know how to read them. The ROME mnemonic is what made it finally click for me: Respiratory is Opposite, Metabolic is Equal. That's it.
Made this card to make it easier for anyone still in that "I kind of get it but not really" phase.
Drop it in your notes app. Pull it up before rounds. You'll thank yourself later.
