And what if i can also have the ability to attend calls from an Indian or US number in US from india, as i normally would have in India. There should be a way that I could receive phone calls as well, not just OTP and messages. Because all the important calls come on my indian number.. so either forwarding or keeping that alive.. or any related plan

I think i should buy a e sim.. which can receive and call internationally. (In us) I should take an IR plan in jio. Then I can switch on wifi calling for jio vowifi. And add a conditional switch, call forwarding when the wifi is not available (like driving/ outdoor) So that call transfer onto call forwarding on us International number. If i want to call someone i can use WhatsApp/ FaceTime/ wifi calling through my indian phone number / a call from my US number international or in US.

Okay, so I think I should get an IR plan on my Jio phone SIM and it should be of 2555 rupees for three months and while in US, I should get a US mobile eSIM that works as a prepaid SIM card. So when I call someone in US through that number, I can directly call and talk to them normally, like a SIM that exists in US and I can come back with that eSIM in my phone and still use it via US mobile app and Google Voice app. And obviously, I will activate the call forwarding before leaving from there. So now my doubt is, are all the things which are my requirement are covered or not? First is, when I am in US, I could call directly to any Indian number and I can receive calls from India via any number on my device while I am travelling in US. And I can also call in US to any person with my US phone number in US itself. Is there any case scenario which I am missing which I have asked about earlier?
| SIM | Purpose | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Jio physical SIM + ₹2,555 IR pack (×3) | Indian number, calls to/from India | ₹7,665 for 3 months |
| US Mobile prepaid eSIM | US number, calls within US, call forwarding base | ~$25–35/month in US, $5/month back in India |
| Google Voice (free) | Permanent US number, receives forwarded calls in India | Free |

| Call any Indian number directly | ✅ | Jio IR pack — 250 outgoing minutes/month to India |
| Receive calls from India on Indian number | ✅ | Jio IR pack — unlimited free incoming + WiFi calling |

| Call US numbers with a US number | ✅ | US Mobile eSIM — unlimited US calls |
| Receive calls on US number | ✅ | US Mobile eSIM active on cellular in US |
| WhatsApp Business on US number | ✅ | Register during US trip while eSIM has signal |
