What's Built

3 subjects, 17 chapters, 50+ sample PYQs:
  • 🦴 Anatomy - Upper/Lower Limb, Thorax, Abdomen & Pelvis, Head & Neck, Neuroanatomy
  • Physiology - Blood, CVS, Respiratory, Renal, Nerve & Muscle, Endocrinology
  • 🧬 Biochemistry - Carbohydrate/Lipid/Protein metabolism, Molecular Biology, Vitamins, Enzymes
Features:
  • 📖 Display mode - Browse questions by chapter, click to reveal answers
  • 🃏 Flashcard mode with flip animation + shuffle - works on subject page AND full-screen flashcard page
  • 😰😐😊 Spaced-repetition rating (Hard / OK / Easy) with score tracking
  • Keyboard shortcuts: Space to flip, ← → to navigate, 1/2/3 to rate
  • Dark mode, fully responsive
To add your own KUHS PYQs, open data/questions.js and add entries in this format:
{ q: "Your question here", a: "Answer / key points", year: "2023", marks: 10 }
To deploy free - just drop the folder on Vercel or Netlify (drag & drop, no setup needed).

How to enter data here and how can I use

Here's a complete guide on how to enter data and use KUHS-Wise.

How to Enter Data

All questions live in one file: data/questions.js
Open it in any text editor (Notepad, VS Code, etc.)

Adding a Question to an Existing Chapter

Find the chapter you want, then add to its questions array:
{
  name: "Upper Limb",
  questions: [
    // existing questions...

    // ADD YOUR NEW QUESTION HERE:
    { q: "Write a note on the rotator cuff muscles.", a: "SITS — Supraspinatus, Infraspinatus, Teres minor, Subscapularis. All attach to greater/lesser tubercle of humerus. Supraspinatus: initiates abduction (first 15°). Most commonly torn tendon: supraspinatus.", year: "2023", marks: 5 }
  ]
}
Each question has 4 fields:
FieldWhat it isRequired?
qThe question textYes
aAnswer / key pointsYes
yearYear it appeared (e.g. "2023")Optional
marksMarks allotted (e.g. 5 or 10)Optional

Adding a New Chapter

Inside a subject (e.g. Anatomy), add a new block to the chapters array:
{
  name: "Histology", // ← your new chapter name
  questions: [
    { q: "Describe the histology of the liver.", a: "Hepatocytes arranged in cords...", year: "2023", marks: 10 },
    { q: "Describe stratified squamous epithelium.", a: "Multiple layers, basal layer...", year: "2022", marks: 5 }
  ]
}

Adding a New Subject (e.g. future years)

At the bottom of questions.js, add a new entry:
,  // ← comma after previous subject

secondyear_anatomy: {
  title: "Anatomy (2nd Year)",
  color: "#e67e22",
  icon: "🫀",
  chapters: [
    {
      name: "Chapter Name",
      questions: [
        { q: "Question", a: "Answer", year: "2023", marks: 10 }
      ]
    }
  ]
}
Then add a link to it in the nav in all 3 HTML files.

How to Use the Site

Option 1 - Directly on your computer (no internet needed)

  1. Download all 5 files, keep the folder structure
  2. Double-click index.html - it opens in your browser
  3. Done. Works completely offline.

Option 2 - Share online free (Vercel / Netlify)

Vercel (easiest):
  1. Go to vercel.com → Sign up free
  2. Click Add New → Project
  3. Drag and drop your kuhs-wise folder
  4. It gives you a link like kuhs-wise.vercel.app — share with friends
Netlify:
  1. Go to netlify.com
  2. Drag your whole kuhs-wise folder onto the page
  3. Get a shareable link instantly

Deploy this site to Vercel for you (live link)

I can't deploy to Vercel on your behalf - I don't have access to your Vercel account or credentials, and I can't log into external services.
But I can get it deployed in under 2 minutes using one of these methods:

Fastest Option - Netlify Drop (no account needed)

  1. Download your files from the links above (keep the folder structure)
  2. Go to netlify.com/drop
  3. Drag the entire kuhs-wise folder onto the page
  4. You instantly get a live link like random-name-123.netlify.app
  5. (Optional) rename it to something like kuhs-wise.netlify.app
No signup needed at all.

Vercel Option (if you want a vercel.app link)

  1. Install Vercel CLI - open your terminal:
    npm install -g vercel

  2. Navigate to your folder:
    cd path/to/kuhs-wise

  3. Run:
    vercel

  4. It asks a few questions (press Enter for defaults), then gives you a live link.
Or use the web method - vercel.com/new → drag & drop the folder.

GitHub Pages Option (permanent + free)

  1. Create a free GitHub account
  2. New repo → upload your 5 files (maintaining folder structure)
  3. Settings → Pages → Branch: main → Save
  4. Get yourusername.github.io/kuhs-wise

If you share your Vercel/Netlify login credentials or a GitHub repo link with me, I can guide you step by step through the exact clicks. The Netlify drag-and-drop is genuinely the fastest - 30 seconds, no account required.

What's Inside (3 tabs)

Tab 1 - 📋 Instructions

Full guide on what each column means and how to use the sheet.

Tab 2 - 📝 Questions (main data entry)

15 sample questions pre-filled across all 3 subjects. Each row has:
ColumnWhat to enter
SubjectDropdown: Anatomy / Physiology / Biochemistry
Chaptere.g. Upper Limb, Blood, TCA Cycle
QuestionFull question text
AnswerKey points / answer notes
Yeare.g. 2023
MarksDropdown: 2 / 5 / 10
ImportanceDropdown: High / Medium / Low
NotesMnemonics, cross-references
  • Dropdowns on Subject, Marks, Importance columns (click the cell to see)
  • AutoFilter on header row - filter by Subject, Chapter, Importance
  • Color coded rows: red tint = Anatomy, green = Physiology, purple = Biochemistry

Tab 3 - 📊 Summary

Auto-counts your questions per subject using COUNTIFS formulas. Updates live as you add more rows - no manual updating needed.

To add a new question: just go to the next empty row in the Questions tab, pick Subject from dropdown, fill in the rest. That's it.
