Why on my iPhone this, uh, image option is not coming when I'm searching on Google?

Looking at your screenshot, I can see you're searching "salter harris classification" on Google in Safari on your iPhone. The page shows the All tab is selected, and you can see Images results have appeared further down the page.
The issue is that the filter tabs (Images, Videos, News, etc.) are not visible — the row after "AI Mode | All" shows blurred/grayed out tabs.
Here's why the "Images" tab might not be showing as a quick filter at the top:
Most likely reasons:
  1. Google's UI on mobile Safari - Google sometimes doesn't show all filter tabs (Images, Videos, Maps, etc.) in the horizontal scroll row when the "AI Overview" panel is taking up prominence. This is a known behavior change Google rolled out in 2025-2026.
  2. You're on google.com in Safari (not the Google app) - The Google app gives you cleaner tab filters. In mobile Safari, Google's layout can suppress the filter row.
  3. AI Mode is active - Notice "AI Mode" is shown to the left of "All." When AI Overview is expanded, Google sometimes collapses the filter tabs to save space.
What you can do:
  • Scroll the tab row - The filter tabs (Images, Shopping, Videos...) are likely hidden to the right - try swiping left on that gray blurred row just below "All."
  • Use the Google app instead of Safari for cleaner navigation.
  • Tap "Images" in the Images section that already appeared lower on the page - that will take you to the full Images tab.
  • Add "images" to your search and tap the Images tab that usually appears.
  • Try searching at google.com/imghp directly for image search.
The Images content IS loading (you can see it at the bottom of your screenshot), so it's mainly a UI/layout issue with how Google displays tabs on mobile Safari with AI Overview enabled.
