2. ANAEMIA MUKT BHARAT STRATEGY

Background

Anaemia Mukt Bharat (AMB) is a universal strategy launched to reduce the burden of anaemia in India. It is implemented through existing delivery platforms as envisaged in the:
  • National Iron Plus Initiative (NIPI)
  • Weekly Iron Folic Acid Supplementation (WIFS) programme

Six Key Interventions

1. Vitamin A Prophylaxis Programme
