Hi

Hi! Yes, I can help you write the abstract for your case report. To draft it, I need a few details:
  1. Case summary: patient age and sex, presenting complaint, key history, examination, investigations, diagnosis, treatment, and outcome or follow-up.
  2. What is unusual or teachable about it: a rare presentation, a diagnostic challenge, a new treatment, or a complication.
  3. Target journal and format: structured (Introduction, Case Presentation, Conclusion) or unstructured, and the word limit (usually 150 to 250 words).
  4. Keywords: if you already have them, otherwise I can suggest some.
Paste your case notes or a rough draft and I'll turn them into a clean abstract. Please leave out patient identifiers such as name, hospital number, and exact dates.

Requirement Guideline Word limit Maximum 400 words File format DOCX only Font Times New Roman Font size 12 Maximum file size 10 MB References Not mandatory in the displayed format Four mandatory sections TITLE INTRODUCTION AUTHOR & CO-AUTHOR DETAILS CASE DESCRIPTION The Case Description must collectively cover six subsections: History Examination Investigations Diagnosis Treatment Follow-up

I've written the abstract from your ERWT presentation. It's about 305 words, so there's room under the 400-word limit for the missing details below.

Extrarenal Wilms Tumour Case Report Abstract

Word Document · DOCX

It meets the journal's format rules:
  • DOCX, Times New Roman 12, and well under 10 MB.
  • It has the four required sections: Title, Introduction, Author & Co-author Details, and Case Description.
  • The Case Description covers History, Examination, Investigations, Diagnosis, Treatment, and Follow-up.
  • References are left out, which the guideline allows.
Title: Primary Extrarenal Wilms Tumour in a Five-Year-Old Girl: A Rare Case Report
I've highlighted in yellow what I couldn't get from your slides:
  1. Histopathology and stage: the slide 22 images show a small round cell tumour, but the slides have no written report or immunohistochemistry.
  2. Treatment: slides 17 to 21 are surgical photos only. I wrote "exploratory laparotomy with excision of the mass", so please confirm that. Add the extent of resection and any chemotherapy.
  3. Follow-up: the slides have none. I need the duration and the child's current status.
  4. Co-authors: I listed only Dr Hamid Wani, from the title slide.
Two other things to check:
  • Wording change: your slide 2 calls Wilms tumour the commonest solid malignancy "next to neuroblastoma". I reworded it as the commonest renal malignancy of childhood, which is the standard statement. I believe this is correct, and a textbook source such as Mulholland and Greenfield's Surgery should confirm it.
  • Platelet count: I left it out because the slide just says "2.83" with no units. Add it if you want it, for example 2.83 lakh/mm³.
Recent case reports exist, such as a 2025 report of retroperitoneal extrarenal Wilms tumour in a 6-year-old girl. You can cite it in the full paper if you wish.
Send me the missing details and I'll finalise the file.
