WHO zinc supplementation dose infants under 6 months diarrhea 10 mg 14 days
For a 25-day-old baby with acute diarrhea, the usual WHO/UNICEF dose is:
- Zinc 10 mg elemental zinc once daily for 10-14 days
- Give alongside ORS and continued breastfeeding. WHO guidance
Check the syrup label for elemental zinc:

Do not give zinc routinely to a 25-day-old newborn unless it is for diarrhea or specifically prescribed. A baby this young with diarrhea should be assessed urgently, especially for fever (38°C or higher), poor feeding, repeated vomiting, fewer wet diapers, blood in stool, sleepiness, or breathing difficulty.
