Now give me answer; what is plussing method
plussing method homeopathy Hahnemann Organon
| Advantage | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Avoids aggravation | Slightly changing potency prevents over-stimulation |
| Economy | One pellet can be used for many doses |
| Flexible dosing | Can be repeated as frequently as needed in acute cases |
| Gentle action | Especially useful in sensitive or debilitated patients |
The plussing method = dissolve remedy in water + succuss before each dose + give a teaspoon as the dose. This gently raises the potency incrementally, allowing safe, repeated administration without aggravation.

"Every perceptibly progressive and strikingly increasing amelioration during treatment is a condition which, as long as it lasts, completely precludes every repetition of the administration of any medicine whatsoever, because all the good that the medicine taken can do is hastening to its completion.Should, however, in a case of disease (that is not one of those where a single dose of a well-selected remedy is sufficient to achieve the complete cure), the first dose that has been given have exhausted its action, then it is necessary to give a new dose of the same remedy, or possibly, of a different one that seems more suitable. But to accelerate the cure as much as possible, if the physician is sure of having selected the most appropriate remedy (the simillimum), he may:
- Use a small dose.
- Use a highly potentized [fifty-millesimal] dose, dissolved in water.
- Administer it in divided (split) doses.
- Give a dose of the solution at intervals that experience has shown to be the most distinctly appropriate for the best possible acceleration of the treatment.
- Prior to each administration of a dose of the solution, alter the degree of potency of the dose. It is very important that the degree of potency of each dose deviate somewhat from the previous and subsequent ones. This is so that the life principle, whose tunement is to be altered to that of the similar medicinal disease, may never feel itself agitated to adverse counter-actions and enraged, as happens when repeated, unmodified doses are given, especially when such doses are rapidly repeated one after another."
"I have found it most useful in diseases of any magnitude, if after the prescribed dose, when the improvement is obviously advancing but slowly, to give the patient a new dose - but only after the potency has been altered - every 24 to 48 hours, or even every 12 hours in urgent cases."
| Point | Meaning |
|---|---|
| No repetition during clear improvement | If the patient is visibly improving, do NOT repeat the remedy |
| Use LM (fifty-millesimal) potencies in water | Dissolved solution allows for gentle, modified dosing |
| Split doses | Divide the solution dose rather than giving a full dry dose |
| Succuss before each dose | Alter potency slightly with each administration (this is the plussing method) |
| Interval guided by experience | Daily, alternate day, or as needed in slow-moving chronic cases |
