Supplement with:
- Your university's previous 10-year question papers (most important)
- PrepLadder / Marrow apps (good for MCQs and video explanations)
- Senior notes from your own college (tailored to your university examiner's style)
Key Principles for Success
- PYQs are gold - Your university exams have patterns. Solve last 10 years religiously.
- Write, don't just read - Practice writing answers in exam format from Month 2 onwards.
- Don't skip practicals - Many students fail in viva/practicals despite good theory.
- One topic at a time - Resist the urge to jump around.
- Sleep 7 hours minimum - Memory consolidation happens during sleep. Non-negotiable.
- Weekly self-tests - If you can't recall it without notes, you haven't learned it.
- Ask seniors - Find out which topics your specific college/university examiners favour.
Starting today (July 13): Open SRB's Surgery or Bailey & Love. Read the chapter on Wounds and Wound Healing. Do 10 PYQs on the same topic tonight. That's your Day 1 done.
6 months from scratch is very doable. Most students who fail do so from poor planning, not lack of intelligence. You already have the plan.
