Here's how to tell from the pelvis bones:
Pelvis A (Male):
- Narrower, taller pelvic inlet
- Steeper, more vertical shape overall
- Narrower subpubic angle (less than 90°)
- Built for support and locomotion, not childbirth
Pelvis B (Female):
- Wider, broader, shallower pelvic cavity
- More circular/oval pelvic inlet
- Wider subpubic angle (greater than 90°, approaching 100°+)
- Iliac wings flare out more laterally
- Designed to accommodate childbirth (passage of the fetal head)
The key giveaway in this image is the width of the pelvic outlet and the subpubic angle - pelvis B is clearly wider and rounder, which is the classic female morphology. The male pelvis (A) is noticeably more narrow and heart-shaped when viewed from the front.
