Pathogenesis
Breast carcinomas arise via stepwise acquisition of driver mutations. Two main molecular pathways:

Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy (NACT)
Given for locally advanced disease (stage III) to downstage tumor before surgery. After 2 cycles, if stable/progressive disease → proceed to surgery + second-line chemo. Pathological Complete Response (pCR) is a favorable prognostic marker.
Surgery
Early Breast Cancer (Stages 0, I, II):
