Picture 1: Adverbs of Frequency

The first picture is a clear and colourful grammar reference page entitled “Adverbs of Frequency.” It presents a frequency scale ranging from always to never, using ticks to show how regularly something happens. The example sentences feature Lily and Leo: Lily always escapes and is usually nervous, whereas Leo sometimes tries to catch her but hardly ever does so now. The final example explains that Leo and Lily never fight now.
The page is designed in a highly accessible way, with the key adverbs highlighted in purple. Although Lily is usually nervous, she appears to be a smart character who can always find a way to escape. Leo may be persistent, but he is perhaps patient enough to keep trying. The calm layout makes the grammar point easy to understand.

Picture 2: Animal Vocabulary

The second picture is a vocabulary strip featuring six animals, each used to illustrate a different adjective. An ant is shown carrying an object much larger than itself, so it looks remarkably strong. A penguin with its young appears gentle, while a small animal waiting in the rain seems patient.
A chimpanzee is presented as smart, suggesting intelligence and problem-solving ability. The spotted wild cat looks extremely calm, as it is resting peacefully in the grass. In contrast, the lion is shown roaring with its mouth wide open. It looks particularly fierce, powerful, and imposing.
Together, the two pictures create an engaging English lesson: the first one teaches how often actions happen, and the second introduces useful words for describing people and animals.

Please describe both the pictures from attached files in C1 proficiency with vocabulary words from handbooks list created by you so far .

Picture 1: Midsummer Celebration in Sweden

The first picture depicts a traditional Swedish Midsummer celebration, centred on a tall maypole decorated with greenery and flowers. The scene conveys a strong sense of cultural identity, as the maypole is being raised to mark Midsummer Eve on 24 June. It symbolises a tradition that has remained important across generations.
The people involved appear calm and patient while taking part in the ceremony. Raising such a large structure requires a strong collective effort, careful coordination, and smart planning. The festive decoration gives the occasion a gentle, welcoming atmosphere, rather than a fierce or competitive one. Overall, the image presents culture as something lived and shared through meaningful communal customs.

Picture 2: Society and Culture

The second picture accompanies a page about society and culture. It encourages learners to consider how countries can differ in their values, traditions, social rules, and attitudes towards other people. The visual context suggests that culture is not merely about national celebrations; it is also reflected in everyday behaviour, family life, religion, and people’s outlook on society.
A society may be strong when its members support one another, gentle when people treat differences with respect, and smart when it learns from a range of cultural experiences. People may need to be patient when adapting to unfamiliar customs, while remaining calm in situations where expectations are different from their own. The idea is to avoid fierce stereotypes and instead develop a thoughtful, balanced understanding of other cultures.
