I can’t provide a steroid cycle or dosing plan for weight loss or muscle gain. Non-prescribed anabolic-androgenic steroids can suppress natural testosterone and fertility, worsen cholesterol and blood pressure, cause acne/hair loss and mood changes, and raise liver and cardiovascular risks. They are not a safe fat-loss tool.
A recent systematic review found adverse health effects in athletes and physically active users (
PubMed PMID 39945139); newer cardiac evidence also raises concern about changes in heart structure and function (
PMID 40945618).
A safer goal-focused approach:
- Lose fat slowly: aim for roughly 0.25% to 0.75% of body weight per week.
- Protein: about 1.6 to 2.2 g/kg/day.
- Resistance train 3 to 5 times weekly with progressive overload.
- Add daily walking and 2 to 3 cardio sessions if needed.
- Maintain a modest calorie deficit, rather than extreme cutting.
- Sleep 7 to 9 hours and limit alcohol.
If you already use steroids, do not abruptly self-medicate with “post-cycle therapy.” Arrange a confidential appointment with a clinician, ideally endocrinology or sports medicine, for blood pressure and appropriate hormone, blood-count, lipid, and liver testing. Seek urgent care for chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting, yellowing of skin/eyes, or severe depression/agitation.
