Tramadol injection (parenteral formulation) can be administered by the following routes:

IV — Intravenous
IM — Intramuscular
Subcutaneous (SC)

This is confirmed in Barash, Cullen, and Stoelting's Clinical Anesthesia, 9e, which lists tramadol among opioids available in multiple formulations including IV, IM, and subcutaneous routes, with onset of ~15 minutes for IM and rapid onset for IV.

Key clinical points:

IM gives a peak effect around 1 hour, duration ~6 hours
SC is also used, especially in palliative/pediatric settings via a subcutaneous cannula to avoid repeated IM injections

Inj Diclofenac 75 mg — Route: Intramuscular (IM) only

The 75 mg injectable dose of diclofenac is given IM (intramuscular), not IV.

Important note on IV diclofenac: A separate IV formulation of diclofenac exists (used for acute pain/migraine), but the standard 75 mg ampoule is strictly for deep IM injection — IV administration of the conventional IM formulation is not recommended due to the excipients (propylene glycol, benzyl alcohol) which can cause thrombophlebitis and toxicity if given intravenously.

Site: Deep IM into the gluteal muscle (upper outer quadrant). Do not inject more than 75 mg per site. Avoid repeated injections at the same site.
