Aam (Common) Side Effects:
- Diarrhea (loose motions) β sabse zyada hota hai
- Nausea / Ulti (Nausea/vomiting)
- Vaginal Candidiasis β mahilaon mein fungal infection (antibiotic use ke baad)
- Transient elevation of liver enzymes (ALT/SGPT) β liver tests thodi derr ke liye badh sakte hain
Lab Interference:
- False-positive urine glucose test (Clinitest, Benedict's solution) β glucose enzymatic tests use karein
- False-positive Coombs test
β SAVDHANIYAN (Precautions)
- Penicillin allergy β soch samajh ke dein; kuch cross-reactivity ho sakti hai (halaanki cefpodoxime comparatively safer hai)
- Renal impairment (kidney problem) β dose adjust karni padti hai
- Food ke saath lein β tablets khane ke saath lene se absorption better hoti hai; suspension bina khaaye bhi le sakte hain
- Antacids ya H2 blockers (jaise ranitidine, pantoprazole) cefpodoxime ka absorption kam kar sakte hain
- Probenecid (gout ki dawai) β serum level badha sakta hai
