Clinical Symptoms
Jaundice itself is a sign, but it comes with a constellation of symptoms depending on the underlying cause:
Universal symptoms:
- Yellow skin and sclera - the hallmark. Scleral icterus appears first (fat-rich sclera takes up bilirubin early)
