This is a slit-lamp image of Pythium keratitis. A typical slit-section examination may show a dense anterior-to-mid stromal infiltrate/plaque, stromal edema, and sometimes hypopyon. Pythium often has characteristic tentacular or dot-like stromal infiltrates. See the NCBI figure source.
