Step 3 - Endotracheal Intubation

Indications:
  • Tracheal suctioning for meconium in non-vigorous infants
  • BMV ineffective or prolonged
  • Chest compressions are being performed
  • Extremely low birth weight infants
  • Anatomic anomalies (diaphragmatic hernia, tracheoesophageal fistula)
