How this app works

I'm Orris, an AI assistant. Here's how I work:

What I Can Do

Answer questions across all domains - science, history, technology, medicine, law, finance, coding, and more.
Use specialized tools to give you accurate, up-to-date answers:
  • Medical Library - consults authoritative medical textbooks for clinical/health questions
  • PubMed - searches peer-reviewed research and clinical studies
  • Web Search - finds current information beyond my training data
  • Tax & Accounting - specialized knowledge for Indian taxation (GST, income tax, CA exams) via Navkar and BB Virtual skills
Create files you can download:
  • Word documents (.docx)
  • PowerPoint presentations (.pptx)
  • Excel spreadsheets (.xlsx)
  • PDFs
Analyze images and media you upload - I can describe, extract text (OCR), or explain visual content.
Run code in a sandbox environment for calculations, data analysis, or scripting.

How I Respond

  1. Quick answer first - I give you an immediate response based on what I know
  2. Then I research - I search textbooks, databases, or the web in parallel
  3. Then I synthesize - I combine all sources into a detailed, cited answer

Skills I Follow

For certain domains, I follow structured "skills" - specialized workflows that ensure I consult the right sources:
DomainSkill
Medical / ClinicalMedical Library + PubMed
GST / Indirect TaxNavkar Institute materials
Income Tax / CA ExamsCA Bhanwar Borana materials
Orthopaedic SurgeryDemo1 (hip surgery database)
Documents & FilesDOCX / PPTX / XLSX / PDF skills

Tips for Best Results

  • Be specific - the more context you give, the better my answer
  • Attach files - I can read PDFs, images, Word docs, spreadsheets you upload
  • Ask follow-ups - I can go deeper on any topic
  • Request a format - ask for a table, bullet list, Word doc, slides, etc.

Syllabus Overview (Ayurveda - BAMS)

The syllabus covers your entire BAMS curriculum across two major sections:

Section A - Basic Sciences (Pre & Para-clinical)

  • Padartha Vigyan & Ayurved Itihas
  • Ashtanga Hridayam / Charaka Samhita basics
  • Rachana Sharir (Anatomy)
  • Kriya Sharir (Physiology)
  • Dravyaguna Vigyan
  • Rasa Shastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana
  • Swasthavritta

Section B - Clinical Sciences (High Weightage)

  • Kayachikitsa (Internal Medicine) - highest scorer
  • Shalya Tantra
  • Shalakya Tantra
  • Prasuti Tantra & Stri Roga
  • Kaumarabhritya
  • Panchakarma

High-Yield Topics (Based on Past Papers 2022-2024)

These topics appear repeatedly in previous years' questions:
  • Charaka Samhita - Jwara Chikitsa, Sneha/Snehapana chapters
  • Sushruta Samhita - Marma Sharir, Srotas & Srotodushti
  • Kayachikitsa - Apasmara, Kushta, Prameha (Diabetes)
  • Prasuti - Yoni Vyapad (Ch. 30)
  • Dravyaguna - Rasapanchaka, drug properties
  • Panchakarma - Shodhana procedures, indications, contraindications

Step-by-Step Preparation Strategy

Phase 1: Foundation (Months 1-2)

  • Download the official NTA syllabus from exams.nta.ac.in/AIAPGET
  • Go through all subjects once - don't aim for depth yet
  • Make short notes for each subject (topic-wise)
  • Focus on classical texts: Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, Ashtanga Hridayam

Phase 2: Deep Study (Months 3-4)

  • Prioritize clinical subjects - they carry the most marks
  • Study Kayachikitsa thoroughly (highest question count)
  • Use standard BAMS textbooks + PG entrance guides
  • Solve chapter-wise MCQs as you finish each topic

Phase 3: Revision + Practice (Month 5-6)

  • Solve at least 5-7 previous years' question papers (PYQs)
  • Take full-length mock tests under timed conditions (120 min)
  • Identify weak areas and revise targeted topics
  • Make a "last-minute revision" sheet of formulas, sutra counts, important shloka references

Subject Priority Order

  1. Kayachikitsa - Maximum questions, must score here
  2. Dravyaguna Vigyan - High weightage, conceptual
  3. Rachana & Kriya Sharir - Anatomy + Physiology basics
  4. Panchakarma - Frequently tested procedures
  5. Prasuti & Stri Roga - Good scoring potential
  6. Rasa Shastra - Tricky but high value
  7. Shalya / Shalakya - Cover basics at minimum

Key Resources

  • Classical Texts - Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, Ashtanga Hridayam (Ashtanga Sangraha)
  • Standard Textbooks - Your BAMS university textbooks for each subject
  • PYQs - AIAPGET previous year papers (2018 onwards)
  • Mock Tests - NTA practice tests + coaching apps (AyurPrep, etc.)
  • Notes - Subject-wise concise notes for quick revision

Smart Exam Day Tips

  • Attempt easy questions first - don't get stuck on tough ones
  • Skip and return - CBT lets you flag and revisit questions
  • Avoid random guessing - negative marking of -1 applies
  • Educated guessing is fine - if you can eliminate 2 options, attempt it
  • Time budget - aim for ~1 minute per question

For Non-Ayurveda Streams

  • Homeopathy (BHMS) - Focus on Organon of Medicine, Materia Medica, Repertory
  • Unani (BUMS) - Focus on Kulliyat, Moalijat, Ilmul Advia
  • Siddha (BSMS) - Focus on Sirappu Maruthuvam, Gunapadam

Which stream are you preparing for - Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, or Siddha? I can give you a more targeted subject-by-subject breakdown if needed.

How to Use PYQs Effectively

StrategyHow
Analyse topic frequencyNote which subjects/chapters repeat every year
Time yourselfSolve 120 Qs in exactly 120 minutes
Review wrong answersDon't just check the answer - understand why
Track improvementScore each paper and monitor progress
Do 2024 lastSave the most recent paper as a final mock test

Pro tip: In AIAPGET 2025, the Ayurveda question count increased from 87 to 92 - so there's a clear shift toward more Ayurveda-specific questions. Prioritize classical Ayurveda texts accordingly.
