WHO acute diarrhoea adults oral rehydration foods yogurt lactose advice
Yes, plain curd rice can be okay for loose motions if you tolerate dairy. Rice is easy to digest, and curd may be soothing.
But avoid it if:
It makes your stools, bloating, or cramps worse
You know you are lactose intolerant
The curd is very sour, spicy, or mixed with pickle/chillies
Take small portions and focus most on ORS or electrolyte fluids to prevent dehydration. Avoid fruit juice, alcohol, very oily food, and excess sugar.
Get medical help urgently for blood/black stool, high fever, severe abdominal pain, repeated vomiting, marked thirst/dizziness, very little urine, or diarrhea lasting over 2-3 days.
