Best treatment in pregnancy

Use a provider-applied local therapy:
  • Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) 80 to 90 percent (commonly preferred), or
  • Cryotherapy (if available)

Avoid in pregnancy

  • Podophyllin / podophyllotoxin
  • Imiquimod (generally avoided in pregnancy in exam settings)
