And how was your question, the part of the ophthalmology? It was also one of my subject. And how was it labeled? How can I crack it? 50% above are the real, the passing in a particular subject that anatomy has, that is 6%. And every subject has below 21% or below 35. What should be the specific reason the students are not focusing on the subjects or the paper level is really tough so that they are failing the subjects?

|---|---|
| No syllabus clarity | Students had no clear idea what exactly would be asked. The syllabus was communicated but not explained properly to colleges. |
| Lack of faculty | AHS is a brand new course (started 2022-23). Government medical colleges did NOT have dedicated AHS faculty. Students were being taught by MBBS faculty in their spare time. |
| Irregular classes | Classes were not held consistently. Students paid ₹20,000 for the course and still complained that proper training was never provided. |
| Brand new course | This was literally the first ever batch of KNRUHS AHS students. No previous year papers, no seniors to guide, no study material tailored for the course. |
| MBBS-level paper difficulty | The exam questions were set at near MBBS 1st year level. These are Anatomy/Physiology papers written by MBBS examiners - not scaled down for paramedical students. |
To be honest, seriously, I was shocked when I come to know that only few percentage of students have been passed in first year of AHS. Ah, I understand. Especially in the biochemistry, physiology. You know, I was literally shocked when I come to know that only few percentage of student have been passed, uh, 750 or above have been a- appeared, from which only 15 to 25 students have been passed. So, I was literally shocked. Then how should I prepare myself? It was my first year in AHS, and my college also had the first year in AHS. So, how should I prepare myself for this tough exam? And what should be the methods of exam? Should I proceed, follow? What should be the method of writing long answers, SAQs, VSAQs? Should I follow from now onwards so it will be easy to me at the time of exam, so I can write it very well and score very well? And any tips? And who will be the col- uh, correcting the paper, whether MBBS students or MBBS professor or separate AHS faculty?

| Use MBBS previous year papers | Available on FirstRanker.com for KNRUHS - same examiners set AHS papers |
| Diagram practice daily | 2 diagrams per day, every day. Diagrams save students who struggle with theory. |
| Focus on Physiology and Microbiology extra | These had 12-21% pass rates. Give them double the study time. |
| Don't ignore internal marks | Internal 20 marks are your safety net. Get as close to 20/20 as possible. |
| Do | Don't |
|---|---|
| Attempt ALL questions - even a partial answer gets partial marks | Leave any question blank - blank = 0 |
| Write LEQs first while fresh | Spend 30+ mins on one question |
| Draw diagrams even if theory is weak | Write running paragraphs with no structure |
| Underline key terms and subheadings | Use pencil - write in blue/black pen only |
| Check that you've written your roll number on every supplement | Waste time on perfect diagrams - good enough is enough |
