For a neonatal radiant warmer, the mattress or working surface is ideally about 90-100 cm (36-40 inches) from the floor, preferably height-adjustable to suit the caregiver and allow safe neonatal resuscitation.

Do not confuse this with the overall unit height: the overhead heating element is commonly around 170-200 cm above floor level, depending on the model.
