This image shows an anterior stromal plaque and hypopyon. Typical slit-lamp findings of Pythium keratitis can include a stromal infiltrate with feathery or tentacle-like peripheral extensions, multifocal lesions, and peripheral furrowing. A true narrow-beam optical slit section is used clinically to assess the depth of stromal involvement. Photographic survey of culture-proven cases shows additional Pythium slit-lamp photographs.
